On Friday, February 28th, a group of IOHRM faculty and students gathered at Tee2Green, an indoor golfing lounge just ten minutes outside of Boone, for an evening of fun and camaraderie. The event offered an exciting variety of activities, with both faculty and students enjoying virtual golf simulations, including putt-putt, outdoor courses, and much more! Beyond golfing, attendees got the chance to have drinks, play board games, and challenge each other to play friendly pool games. Overall, these activities provided a welcome change of pace for everyone, giving people the chance to showcase their talents in strategy, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Moving forward, this social event not only offered a chance to spend quality time with faculty and students outside the classroom but also reinforced the collaborative and supportive culture that defines the IOHRM program. More specifically, it provided an opportunity for everyone to engage with one another in a more personal way, allowing for meaningful conversations and deeper connections that extend beyond academics. In other words, events like this prove that these gatherings are more than just a fun way to spend time with one another, but also essential for building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging within the program.
