From October 22nd through the 23rd, the faculty and staff of Appalachian State University hosted an effort to promote growth and learning by its professors. By allowing professors who have previously won the Board of Governors Teaching Award to open their classrooms for any professors to come by and observe their techniques for a day, it was hoped that all faculty could improve their teaching efforts. Professors who met the criteria were notified and volunteered their classes for observance.
Dr. Shawn Bergman of the IOHRM program was one of those professors chosen and he opened his classroom for all to learn from his teaching techniques. We hope this was an enriching experience for all involved!
