Second Year, Sandra Altman, accepts position with Texas Instrument’s HR Development Program.

Major congratulations are in order for second year student, Sandra Altman, who recently accepted a position with Texas Instrument's (T.I.) highly competitive HR Development Program! Altman, who interned for T.I. this past summer will travel back to Dallas, TX in June 2017 to begin her three-year rotation with the company.

The program is divided into two major phases. During phase one, Sandra will spend one-and- a-half years as an HR business partner, working alongside various business-unit leaders to provide strategic insight on their human capital. Sandra will then spend phase two within a functional role that could see her contributing her valuable insight to compensation and benefits, talent management, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, ethics and employee relations, or other HR functions. Upon completion, Sandra will be placed within an HR area that she enjoys the most and where T.I. thinks she is the best fit.

Accepting T.I.'s offer was a no-brainer to Altman as she got to experience first-hand the organization's culture and was able to make major contributions on behalf of many HR departments during her summer internship. Altman says that she is excited that she gets to spend the next couple of years "trying-on" various HR roles before she needs to commit to one, and that she's ready to dive in and discover the different features of her new job to learn where she excels and what she might like or dislike about the different roles she'll have.

The IOHRM family is beyond thrilled for Sandra and her exciting opportunity!
