Welcome, IOHRM Class of 2019!

The IOHRM program has started another academic year and we are thrilled to welcome the Class of 2019, the largest IOHRM cohort to date! The second year IOHRM students kicked off the year by hosting a 2-day orientation for the incoming class. Over the course of two days, the first years heard from Program Director, Dr. Tim Huelsman, as well as other faculty. They learned about classroom expectations and workload, other elements of the Program, and life in Boone. It was a great opportunity for students to get to know each other and ask any burning question they had coming into the program.

The 2019 cohort is represented by a variety of backgrounds, including the traditional Psychology background, as well as Wilderness Therapy, Management, and Religious Studies. The fifteen incoming IOHRM students come from all over the United States, including New Mexico, California, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, and our home state of North Carolina.

As the Class of 2017 begins their careers (or PhD programs), we wish them the best of luck (don’t forget to come back and visit!) and look forward to continuing to get to know the newest IOHRM class. As in prior years, students will provide updates on the IOHRM Facebook page, LinkedIn group, and website. We have so many great things happening in the IOHRM program, and hope you’ll stay tuned to see how our program continues to invest in and develop future HR leaders!
