The IOHRM program has started another academic year and we are thrilled to welcome the Class of 2023! The second-year IOHRM students kicked off the year by hosting an orientation for the incoming class this August. Over the course of the orientation, first years heard from Program Director, Dr. Tim Huelsman, as well as other faculty. They learned about classroom expectations and workload, other elements of the program, and life in Boone. It was a great opportunity for students to get to know each other and ask any burning questions they had coming into the program.
The 2023 cohort is represented by a variety of backgrounds, including traditional Psychology, as well as Accounting, Marketing, Sociology, Family and Child Sciences, Statistics, and Computer Science. The thirteen incoming IOHRM students come from all over, including Toronto, Minnesota, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, and our home state of North Carolina.
As the Class of 2021 begins their careers, we wish them the best of luck (don’t forget to come back and visit!) and look forward to continuing to get to know the newest IOHRM class. The incoming class has a variety of eclectic interests, including sports, hiking, listening to music, traveling, and reading!
