Welcome Class of 2022!

The IOHRM program has started another academic year and we are thrilled to welcome the Class of 2022! The second-year IOHRM students kicked off the year by hosting a 2-day virtual orientation for the incoming class this August. Over the course of two days, the first years heard from Program Director, Dr. Tim Huelsman, as well as other faculty. They learned about classroom expectations and workload, how to be a good campus and global citizen, professional development opportunities, and life in Boone. It was a great opportunity for students to get to know each other, hear how safety is being prioritized in and out of the classrooms, and ask any burning questions they had coming into the program.

The 2022 cohort is represented by a variety of backgrounds, including traditional Psychology, as well as Biological Sciences; Creative Writing; Criminology; English; Organizational Leadership; and Peace, War, and Defense. The thirteen incoming IOHRM students come from all over the United States, including Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, and our home state of North Carolina.

As the Class of 2020 begins their careers, we wish them the best of luck (don’t forget to come back and visit!) and look forward to continuing to get to know the newest IOHRM class. The incoming class has a variety of eclectic interests, including exercising, hosting game nights, analyzing personality assessments, hunting, and trying out new activities!

As in prior years, students will provide updates on the IOHRM Facebook page, LinkedIn group, and website. We have so many great things happening in the IOHRM program, and hope you’ll stay tuned to see how our program continues to invest in and develop future HR leaders! Regardless of if we connect in-person or virtual, we are all united around the past, present, and future of IOHRM.
