Students Attend North Carolina Industrial & Organizational Psychologists Meeting in Greensboro

On March 16th, three first-year students (Carson Sells, Taylor Lemker, & Troi Robinson-Moss) made their way to Greensboro, NC to attend the North Carolina Industrial & Organizational Psychologists (NCIOP) spring meeting.

As a student leader for NCIOP, Carson helped run the meeting, which included introducing key speakers for the meeting. When asked about the meeting, Troi and Taylor both highlighted their excitement about the discussion of varying topics including talent management, leadership, teamwork in difficult contexts, and keeping empirically-based decision making as a cornerstone of the I-O discipline.

The meeting provided an opportunity to see professionals, academics, and students come together to share their insights and experiences in the field of I-O psychology. Taylor noted "This meeting enabled me to think about completely different perspectives on aspects of I-O that I had not previously considered."
