Second Year Student, Casher Belinda, Leads SPSS Regression Workshop

On Nov. 9, Casher Belinda, 2nd year IOHRM student, ran a regression workshop with Dr. Shawn Bergman for Appalachian State University faculty. The workshop, titled Introduction to OLS Regression, was hosted by the Office of Research Consultation, with the main purpose of providing the faculty with a review of simple and multiple regression. Casher and Dr. Bergman discussed with the faculty how to conduct analyses, conduct diagnostics, and interpret regression results with SPSS software. Additionally, different regression concepts were discussed including multicollinearity and part and partial correlation, specific to multiple regression.

The workshop provided a great refresher for researchers who want to incorporate basic and advanced regression techniques into their projects. It helped those in attendance understand the purpose of single and multiple regression, the assumptions and limitations of these analyses, and how to interpret regression output in SPSS. We are excited that Casher had the opportunity to represent the IOHRM program at this workshop.

Way to go Cash!
