Lauren Ferber Presents at Society of Southeastern Social Psychologists Annual Meeting

Lauren Ferber, a first-year in the IOHRM program, presented at the annual meeting for the Society of Southeastern Social Psychologist (SSSP) in Atlantic Beach, Florida. The presentation reflected an accumulation of 2 years of research with Dr. Andrew Monroe, a Professor in the Psychology Department, and co-presenter with Lauren. The research project consisted of three studies that tested how public vs. private moral judgments are impacted by social power. Results from the study showed that power strongly affects public blame, while private blame is unaffected.

Lauren plans on continuing research on power, specifically focusing on leadership and teams in the future. Congrats to Lauren for presenting at a professional conference and sharing her knowledge from the research project. We hope she enjoyed sunny Florida, as well!
