IOHRM Welcomes Class of 2024!

Another fall semester has arrived, and with the changing seasons comes a new batch of fresh faces into the IOHRM program. During their orientation, the Class of 2024 were given a breakdown of their duties and responsibilities as students, as well as the multitude of other projects and opportunities that were available to them as IOHRM students. These talks were not only given by the Program Director, Dr. Tim Huelsman, and other factuality, but also by the second years, who gave them crucial advice for staying on top of the curve. The new cohort also got a chance to learn about the exciting things to do in Boone and the surrounding area and had a chance for their curiosity to be satisfied during a Q&A session with the faculty.

The 2024 cohort is filled with unique people from different academic backgrounds, including traditional Psychology, Economics, Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Statistics, Entrepreneurship, and Management. The cohort of eleven promising students comes from multiple parts of the United States, including Florida, Colorado, Tennessee, Michigan, and of course North Carolina. As the Class of 2024 begins the exciting journey towards earning their degrees, many of them will be working towards improving their HR proficiencies, learning and engaging in consulting practices, and just learning from their peers and professors alike; so we wish them the best of luck and look forward to seeing their growth. However, there are always two sides to a coin, and the incoming class has many varied interests outside of academia: writing, cooking, hiking, skiing, sports, reading, and an interest in the fine java arts…

As is tradition, the students will give updates on the IOHRM Facebook page, LinkedIn group, and website. The 2024 IOHRM class is excited to start their new life in Boone, and we hope that you’ll stay tuned in to see exactly how they will flourish.
