IOHRM COMP-Anionship Program

The IOHRM Program has implemented a new program called 'COMP-Anionship', where first-year IOHRM students will support the second-year students during their comprehensive exams. In order to graduate, second-year students must pass a one-hour comprehensive exam, during which they answer questions in front of a panel of three professors. They prepare for the exam throughout the semester, as they are given the questions at the beginning of spring semester. This exam tests the students' broad knowledge that they have retained from coursework throughout their two years in the program.

For 'Comp-anionship', first-year students will provide moral support to second-year students on the day of their exam. One first-year student is matched with a second-year student, and is encouraged to do something that will help reduce stress for the second-year student, leading up to, and/or on the day of the exam. Many first-year students will be getting coffee or lunch for the second-year students after the exam.

Comprehensive exams begin March 21st, and the second-years are diligently prepping for them until then. We are excited to see how the COMP-Anionship program helps alleviate stress, and hope to make it a tradition every year. Best of luck to the second-years - we know that they will do well!
