IOHRM faculty member Shawn Bergman is the director for Professional Education, a program run by the Walker College of Business to address workforce sustainability in the Southeast. Professional Education hosted their first Leadership Summit conference on September 27th, and provided participants with tangible skills surrounding applying personal values and strengths to leadership situations, resolving conflict in a positive and productive manner, and effective team-building, as well as providing an opportunity for up-and-coming leaders to network across industries. Second year IOHRM students Maira Compagnone, Darby Ford, and Erin Marion were able to assist Shawn Bergman in creating a valuable experience for all attendees. Behind the scenes, IOHRM students Greg Vass and Rosalyn Reese also helped to prepare for the event. Congratulations to the team for a successful event!
