On Monday, January 7th 2019, IOHRM Alumni, Dr. Rich Cober, had the honor of ringing the NASDAQ bell alongside his team to open the New York Stock Exchange. Rich Cober graduated from the IOHRM Program in 1998 and continued his education at the University of Akron, earning his Ph.D in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. He worked as the Vice President of Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Consumer Services HR at Marriott International before moving on to his current position at MicroStrategy, a company that provides business intelligence, mobile software, and cloud-based services. He is the current Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer there where he leads teams responsible for HR Business Partnership, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management. He has also published research on employee recruitment, hiring, and performance management and was awarded SIOP’s Early Career Contributions Award in 2014. We congratulate him on his achievements and hope to hear about even greater honors to come!
