On April 4th, The College of Business hosted Aubrey Daniels, founder of the consulting company Aubrey Daniels International, who shared his professional knowledge with the students and faculty of the IOHRM program. Dr. Daniels was accompanied by Paul Broyhill, his first client and former CEO of Broyhill Furniture. Dr. Daniels is an internationally renowned expert on performance management. The students and faculty were able to partake in a question and answer session concerning the applications of organizational behavioral management in the workplace. The IOHRM program is extremely grateful to Dr. Daniels for taking time out of his visit to specifically spend time with IOHRM students and faculty.
Later in the day, the IOHRM Advisory Board met with the students of the IOHRM program. Six of the board members hosted a series of professional development workshops. Chanel Leitch and Yvonne Hill led a discussion on how to become better networkers, Phil and Tim Bailey discussed how to improve interviewing skills, Frank Gentry gave a presentation on HR Trends and the transformation model, and Ray Grassman shared his knowledge concerning business acumen and finance management. The IOHRM students sincerely thank the board members for sharing their time and experiences. The workshops were an extremely valuable experience.
