AppKIDS 5K Raises Over $4,000!

Appalachian Kindness In Donations & Service (AppKIDS) is an annual shopping event for underprivileged children, K – 12, from Watauga County Schools. Children are provided with Winter clothing and basic school supplies. Appalachian faculty and staff, using donated funds, volunteer their time to mentor and guide these children on AppKIDS Day.

This year, Appalachian State hosted a 5K event to help raise money for AppKIDS. Thanks to the campus advertising efforts of first year IOHRM students Troi Robinson-Moss and Annie Jankura, the event was a total success! 76 people participated in the 5K itself, and the event raised just over $4,000! This greatly surpassed the original goal of $2,000!

Great job making this event so successful, ladies!
