Exciting New Developments in Student Research

Second-year student Danielle Kretschmer has wrote an article for a professional safety blog on the ramifications of safety awareness training. She attempted to gamify awareness training and found a thirty percent reduction in risk over two months. It will be electronically published and is also being submitted for publication in ISHN and Professional Safety.

Additionally, second-year student Matthew Cartabuke has successfully defended his thesis proposal "Empathy as an Antecedent of Social Justice Behavior." His thesis examines empathy as a precursor to perceptions of societal fairness measured by different business variables. These business variables include concern for the Occupy Wall Street movement, social justice fairness, corporate social responsibility and socially responsible attitudes. Congratulations, Matthew!
