The IOHRM program is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Jim Westerman as a sustainability fellow at Appalachian State University for 2014-2016 academic years. As the first faculty member to hold the position, Dr. Westerman will serve as a liaison to the University and the Office of Sustainability. As a sustainability fellow he will work to create new initiatives in curriculum and research to better sustainability efforts. Dr. Westerman has already been an active member in the sustainability efforts at Appalachian State through assisting in the proposal for a sustainable business minor. The entire IOHRM family is extremely proud of this accomplishment.
We are also happy to say that Jessica (Gore) Jacovidis, a 2010 alumnus of the program was recently accepted to the Assessment and Measurement PhD program at James Madison University. Jessica is currently working for McRel International as an evaluation specialist and will be starting at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in the fall.
