This past Friday, Appalachian IOHRM students and alumni traveled to Queens University in Charlotte, NC for the North Carolina Industrial Organizational Psychology (NCIOP) conference. The morning segment featured Catherine Stancombe, the VP of HR business partners from Duke Energy. She spoke on the leadership and performance culture of Duke Energy. After lunch, a panel was held that featured Coleen Gentry of Cambria Consulting, Renee Henson of Piedmont Natural Gas, and Mike Moomaw of APTMetrics, Inc. These panelists answered questions pertaining to Organizational Development and Change Management. The fall 2014 NCIOP flyer also featured summaries from the previous spring conference written by IOHRM students Kristen Kaufmann, Heather Holden, and alumna Stephanie Hale.
