IOHRM Students Selected as Graduate Ambassadors

The Graduate Student Ambassadors are a group of current students who support the Cratis D. Williams School of Graduate Studies by making presentations at recruitment events, leading campus tours of prospective students, participating in open house events and First Fridays, and assisting with formal events such as orientations and commencement ceremonies. Because of our program's focus on recruitment, onboarding, and engagement, IOHRM students are a natural fit for the role of Ambassador, and this year, four IOHRM students—Brooke Mitchell, Kathryn Smith, Sarah Willis, and Skylar Ritchie—were selected to serve in that role.

At the start of the semester, Brooke, Kathryn, Sarah, and Skylar assisted Laura Padgett, the newly appointed Director of Graduate Student Services, with the Graduate School Orientation, helping to set up for the event, film and photograph it for off-campus students, and answer new student questions. They also had the chance to assist with the school's first annual "Big Freeze," an ice cream social for current graduate students.

The Graduate Student Ambassador program is a great opportunity for IOHRM students to practice what they are learning in the classroom and get out the good word about App. If you are interested in the possibility of serving next year, please contact Brooke, Kathryn, Sarah, or Skylar.
