IOHRM Professional Development Conference

The third IOHRM Professional Development Conference took place on Friday, September 29th. This gathering saw some 50 IOHRM students, faculty, and alumni come together for a day full of insightful presentations covering an exciting array of topics such as Human Resource’s role in sustainable business practices.

The day began with an informative session regarding big data and data analytics from three second-year IOHRM students. Cameron Brown, Lorin Farr, and Aimee Wood discussed strategies for developing a data-driven culture within organizations, the plethora of advantages in doing so, and the future of data analytics within the field of Human Resources. This group, along with fellow second-year and contributor Cheryl Nickel, will present on this topic again at the River Cities Industrial-Organizational Psychology Conference later this month. Way to go, team!
