First-year IOHRM student, Nkem Obi-Melekwe, has accepted an internship in Human Resources at National Public Radio (NPR). NPR is a privately and publicly funded non-profit membership media organization with a network of 900 public radio stations in the United States. NPR was ranked #1 most trusted news organization in the country according to a 2014 Pew research study.
Nkem will be interning with NPR for 12 weeks and will be located in Washington, D.C. At NPR he will be assisting with talent acquisition. He will be helping with a wide range of HR and recruitment initiatives, including coordinating interviews, updating career pages, and providing analytics and reporting support on diversity recruiting.
